Lívia Marangoni
Lívia Marangoni writes the guides on this site. Her subject is the inside of casino games: how a slot's reels and features are put together, how a crash round climbs and ends, how table games build in their house edge, and what all of that means for the size of a stake and the length of a session. She writes about mechanics rather than about luck, and she does not promise results.
What she covers
- Slot mechanics: paylines and ways, cascades, expanding symbols, multiplier wilds, free spins and bonus buy as a concept.
- Crash games: how the multiplier rises from 1.00, why the round can end at any moment, manual and automatic cash-out.
- RTP and volatility: why the published return is a long-run figure, why one slot can exist in several RTP versions, and how volatility decides the rhythm of wins.
- Bonus terms: how wagering, game contribution and maximum bet rules interact with the games you choose.
- Responsible gambling: session budgets, limits and the myths that make losses harder to accept.
How she works
Each guide starts from sources that a careful reader can open as well. The studio's game sheet gives the layout, the published RTP and the features. The info panel inside the game shows the RTP of the version actually running in a lobby, which may differ from the studio's default. The demo, where one is offered, shows how often features appear and how a session feels. The game rules describe what happens in unusual cases, such as a lost connection or a malfunction, and the bonus terms explain how play counts towards wagering.
Everything she writes is sorted into two groups: what those sources confirm and what they do not. A provider name, an RTP figure or a maximum win appears on a page only when a source confirms it for that game. When nothing does, the fact sheet stays short and the page says why.
What a guide can and cannot confirm
| A guide can explain | A guide cannot tell you |
|---|---|
| How a game's features and paytable work | What the next round or session will pay |
| The studio's published RTP and volatility | Which RTP version a lobby runs — the info panel shows that |
| How wagering and contribution rules usually work | The current terms of a specific offer — the operator's page sets them |
| Where licence and limit details are normally published | The operator's limits, fees or processing times |
Principles
No page promises a win, a pattern or a schedule. There are no "hot hours" when a slot pays more: a random number generator does not know the time of day, and an RTP figure is reached over millions of rounds, not over an evening. There are no betting systems on these pages that claim to beat a game's maths, because none exist. Numbers that belong to the operator — deposit limits, withdrawal times, bonus percentages — are not quoted as facts; readers are pointed to the cashier and the terms, where those numbers live.
How pages are updated
Studios release new versions, operators change their terms and bonus rules are rewritten. When one of those changes affects a guide, the page is revised so that the text matches the current rules. Readers help too: a message to info@89betcasino.net with the page address and the detail that looks wrong is the quickest way to get a correction made.
About the author
Lívia Marangoni is a casino game analyst and the author of every guide on 89betcasino.net, in both the Portuguese and the English versions of the site. Her work is reading game sheets, info panels, demos and rule books, and turning them into explanations a player can use before choosing a game. She makes no claim to be a lawyer, an auditor or a representative of any operator, and when something cannot be confirmed she says so on the page.
Guides by Lívia Marangoni
A good place to start is the games guide, which explains how to choose a title by volatility, RTP version and features. For an example of an extreme-volatility slot, read her guide to Mental 2 and its xSplit mechanic. If you plan to play with a bonus, her page on how wagering works shows how game choice and maximum bet rules change the maths.
